Registration Requirements for the Management Systems Auditor Register

The Management Systems Auditor Register is an Australian Organisation for Quality initiative aimed at providing Australian registration for management systems auditors.

Registration is only available to people who have proven expertise in auditing.

  • All AOQ registered auditors will be expected to undertake professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge in auditing, business principles and the relevant standards.

  • All AOQ registered auditors are allowed use of postnominals of MAOQ(RPA) or FAOQ(RPA)

Auditors currently registered with IRCA and/or RAB-QSA - Annual Fee $250.00

Auditors currently not registered with either IRCA or RAB-QSA - Annual Fee $250.00

For new auditors and auditors crossing over from IRCA and/or RAB-QSA - Annual Fee $250.00 GST inc

  • Must be a member of AOQ

  • Proof of competency in a recognised auditing course See table below

  • Proof of competency in a recognised business course . See table below

  • Proof of competency as an auditor through a witness audit at own cost

  • Agreement to witness audit every 30 to 36 months

  • Proof of knowledge of ISO9001 or ISO14001 ie ISTO Certificate

  • Signed Code of Ethics

  • Agree to continual professional development

  • Allowed use of postnominals of MAOQ(RPA) or FAOQ(RPA)

Re-registration of AOQ Management System Auditors

For re-registration July 2008 to June 2009, all registered auditors to provide a log of audits, prove competence to the auditing/business course approved by AOQ by 31st December, 2006 and to a witness audit to be conducted prior to 30th June 2007 and then every 30 to 36 months .

Requirements for persons not registered as auditors with RABQSA or IRCA.

TAFE business course plus 5 consecutive years quality management work experience

•  Business degree plus 3 years quality related work experience

•  35 audit days – 20 on site
•  TAFE business course plus 7 consecutive years quality management work experience
or
•  Business degree plus 4 years quality related work experience

•  Witnessed audit report
•  two auditee reports
